How to reach Jakhu temple in the rainy season?


Reaching Shimla is not that easy in a rainy season. When it rains, the chances of landslides on the highway that connects Delhi gets increased and hence there are higher chances of losing lives even. Around a year ago, I decided to go to Jakhu temple by a Himachal Road Transport Corporation bus that got standfor nearly eight hours because of landslides on the road to Jakhu temple.There were meandering long queues of cars, buses, and trucks on most of the journey before when we entered Shimla. On many occasion, I thought that it would have been better if I had not turned adventurous to visit Shimla to Jakhu temple in a rainy season. But I was already midway in my journey, there was no getting away from it. But reaching on the spot I came to know about the Jakhu Ropeway that make your travel quite easy. Earlier I was not knowing about this.

Jakhu temple is one of the well-known attractions in Shimla that is a grand wish for all the devotees who are visiting this temple. There is a 108 high feet statue of Lord Hanuman, an idol which is prayed by every devotee who visits and comes in the religious figure. The two-way journey to the temple via cable car ride will cost around 500 per person, which is the minimum amount to stroll the lusting steep slopes.Another easy way to reach Jakhu temple is through walking on the padded and trodden roads during seasonal variations. You can also walk down through the Jakhu temple from the Ridge that will take 20-25minutes that will not involve any single cost.Now, if you will talk about the facility of taxi or cab, you can the taxior cab from the Ridge to reach Jakhu Temple that is located in Shimla.  Also, you can ponder over the beautiful steep slopes,Shavlik ranges and enjoy the picturesque beauty.

If one hires a taxi, it will be quite costly and time taking to take a shared taxi from the Ridge. It is not the correct way to go to the spiritual and religious place. Also, you will find flock of monkeys on the place which is a sole deity of Lord Hanuman.The distance of 2 km from Shimla that one require to manage to reach throughJakhoo Hill to the temple is to cover an altitude of around 2455 m above sea level as it is the topmost area that is situated at the highest peak of Shimla. Furthermore, when you come to Jakhoo temple you can also visit to Sanjauli, it is the highest peak in Shimla.

The ancient idol of Hanuman is located at the top of the Jakhoo hill. There are various modes to reach to Jakhu temple, although visitors can make a choice according to their convenience. But the most easiest, economical and convenient way to reach Jakhoo temple is by the Jakhu Ropeway.
